You’ll need:

  • USB device sharing software (for server) - I picked USB over Ethernet by KernelPro. Other software can also be used:
  • USB device sharing software (for client computer).

  • LAN
  • Client computers
Scanner server setup

  1. Install USB Over Ethernet software in server
  2. Install scanner driver in server
  3. Assign static IP address to server
  4. Enable auto share of USB scanner
  5. Enable auto start with Windows
Client workstation setup
  1. Install USB over Ethernet Client software
  2. Click Add new USB server
  3. Enter server IP address
How to scan using EPSON scanner wirelessly
  • Turn on scanner, server and client computer
  • Open USB Over Ethernet Client software
  • Select scanner model (EPSON GT-S55) then click connect device button
  • Open EPSON Scan
  • Scan documents
  • Close EPSON Scan when finished
  • Click disconnect device button in USB Over Ethernet Client software then exit
  • Turn-off scanner

Please remember to turn off scanner (to reset) after clicking Disconnect device button otherwise other users won’t be able to scan.
